I came across the web site just today, for the very first time. I haven't been able to stop looking at it. What a great site!!
My name is Christopher T. "Kit" Smith and my family and I lived at 6 Wright Ave. from 1962 until late in 1977. In fact, we moved into that house when it was new and the street had not been paved yet. I loved living in Stratford and was very sad when my family chose to sell that house. To this day, in family "discussions" I still refer to it as the "good" house. I attended Princeton School, Warwick (now Yellin) School, and graduated from Sterling HS in 1972. I truly enjoyed my years of Little League and Babe Ruth League baseball and was always grateful to the men that ran such a great organization as the Stratford Father & Son Assoc. Plus, we always seemed to have the nicest, cleanest, and most well-maintained playground and athletic facilities in the entire area. I have nothing BUT great memories of living in that town. So much so, that I am hoping to be moving back to Stratford sometime in the next year or so. - Kit

I grew up on Hillside Rd. in Laurel Mill Farms and have always dreamt about moving back. However the high taxes and the high cost of living has prevented me from doing so, but you never know......

Born in Camden in 1944 but moved to Stratford in 1949 after my Dad began building his own house there, with the help of his brothers, on Hunt Avenue. Lived there until I got married in mid-1965, and moved to an apartment complex in Stratford, on Atlantic Ave.
